Letter To Editor: Governor A Champion For Small Businesses

As owner of Granizadas & Antojitos Chapines here in Providence, I have experienced firsthand the economic hardships caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. After a difficult year, I am finally getting back on my feet, thanks in part to the support Governor McKee has provided to Rhode Island’s small business community.

The governor has been a champion for local businesses, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic. He has opposed harmful policies, like new taxes, that will only add to our burdens while putting programs in place that helped keep our doors open. It gives us comfort that our leaders understand the challenges we are facing. But we are still worried about the future.
